When All About Down® mails you a fine down comforter, pillow or other down item, it has been compressed to fit in a shipping box. Pull out the down item, shake it thoroughly, and the goose down will shortly return to its former high lofting state.
Mailing Us a Down Item for Cleaning or Renovation - When mailing us a down item, protect it by putting it in a large, plastic bag. Place it in the smallest possible box in which it will fit and tape the box securely. It won’t hurt the down to be compressed while it's in transit. No need for Styrofoam “peanuts”. Please don't include anything except your down product and a filled-in order form. (Print out.) Send the box to: All About Down®, 352 N. 78th St., Seattle, WA 98103. We will contact you once we receive your item to confirm your order.
Using a Retail Shipping Service - Bring your down item already in a plastic bag, plus your order form or letter, to one of the numerous businesses offering shipping services. They will sell you a box and tape and you can package it there, or they will do the packaging for you. There’s no need to pay for an over-sized box.
Using the Online U.S. Post Office’s Click-N-Ship Service - Go to https://www.usps.com/ship/ and follow their directions for shipping and printing postage. Drop your box off at a post office or, for an extra fee, give your box to a postal carrier. If you're sending an over-sized package, the U.S.P.S. is the most economical way to mail it.
